Marketing Manager.
Commerce Communications
West Virginia Department of Commmerce
I graduated from my undergrad in May of 2020 and had plans to venture abroad and find job opportunities in Europe.
As the summer approached and COVID -19 got increasingly worse, I came to the conclusion I was not going to Europe in the summer.
I decided to continue my education and start graduate school in August. After I started grad school, one of my professors reached out to me and asked if I was looking for a job, and connected with Commerce Communication.
I have been working remotely as a marketing manager for Commerce Communications since September 2020.
Marketing Manager.
Role & Duties:
I host bi-weekly meetings with the clients to discuss on-going project needs, upcoming events, campaigns, and other client needs.
In addition to managing client meetings, I handle social media content from creation to scheduling on Sprout Social.
I assist the creative team for all design projects needs for my four state agency clients. I serve as the project manager for all design projects from concept to final deliverables.
I assist and provide client feedback to the creative team using the project management platform, Wrike.
I am proud to be a part of a collaborative team at Commerce Communications. Working remotely has taught me how to stay accountable for deadlines, meetings, and ongoing projects within our agency.
It also has taught me the importance of teamwork, as we are much more capable and efficient on projects and work when we collaborate and work as team.
